Course Details
  The study of Anatomy and Physiology is an essential knowledge being especially vital for anyone intending to practice of Complementary Health. Anatomy involves the study of the structure of the body, and physiology, the study of its function.

There is an online classroom element to the course containing all the notes, videos, slides, quizzes and other material for completion of the course. This distance learning course means that students can study flexible at home or at work, while gaining this qualification.

Assessment
 
Assessment is by continuous assessment based on submitted assignments and a final examination at course end. Full details of this examination are automatically sent to you as you near the end of the course. The examination costs €75 and is taken at home at your convenience. If you receive 60% or more in this examination you will receive an Active Health Diploma.

Who should complete this course?
 

This course is suited to candidates that are completing their Diploma in Tuina Chinese Medical Acupressure.

Every practitioner working in the fields of natural health, nutrition and physical fitness will also benefit from the solid in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology. This is exactly what this course provides.

Completing this entire course, you will understand the workings of the body as well as relevant treatments and thus be a much more professional therapist. This exceptional course is strongly recommended to all who intend to practice in Natural Health.

Preferred entry level
 
Level 4 Certificate, Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualifications and or/relevant life and work experiences.
The course is open to adults who have a commitment to further study in Complementary therapies
As this programme is delivered through distance learning, students must be capable of studying on their own initiative.
As assistance to students new to distance learning, we provide, without charge, a study guidelines manual which many students find most helpful
Students must be competent in both written and spoken English.
