Description:

Auricular Therapy has a long history in China. It involves the stimulation of the auricle of the external ear for the diagnosis and treatment of health conditions in other parts of the body. It is also known as Ear Acupuncture ---is form of acupuncture using the ear alone to treat disease. Auricular Therapy is typically considered one form of acupuncture, but there are both differences and similarities between the two procedures.

 

Aim of Course: 

To enable participants to obtain a Post Grad Diploma in Auricular Acupuncture, which certifies their competence to treat a patient requiring this therapy.

 

Entry Level:

The course is designed for acupuncturists and others with suitable qualifications in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

 

Course Potential:

When you want to strengthen the effect of body acupuncture treatment, Auricular Acupuncture is that natural and gentle way to achieve this.

Auricular Acupuncture is perhaps the most researched modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine with many examples of positive outcomes.

You can apply ear needles during your body acupuncture treatment or as a stand alone treatment and then ear seeds that the patient can stimulate while away from clinic.

 

Your Lecturer:

euniceHung Tsui Ying has a busy practice in Chinese Medicine in Galway.

She is a respected Tuina master from Taiwan and a master practitioner in Chinese Auricular (ear) acupuncture, Cosmetic Acupuncture, Chinese Nutrition therapy, Gua Sha therapy, Chinese Herbal medicine.

Tsui Ying lectures extensively throughout Ireland and England.

Tsui Ying has lectured in both Chinese Acuricular Acupuncture and the therapy of French practitioner Dr. Paul Nogier. This course will be restricted to Chinese Acuicular Acupuncture.

 

Course Content: 

You will gain a thorough knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medical Auricular Therapy.

Locate the various auricular ear points

Function of the auricular points

Examination and Diagnostic methods applied to Auricular Acupuncture and Ear seed therapy

Commonly used manipulations and techniques

Treatment of common disharmonies  

Examples of some disorders treated with Auricular Therapy: Weight loss, stop smoking, common cold, flu, insomnia, addictions, infertility, sore throat, hypertension,  neck, back, hip, knee pain, depression, anxiety, menstrual problems, painful periods, irregular periods, PMS, headaches, asthma, cough, allergies, migraine, paralysis, fatigue, stress, memory problems, poor concentration, blurred vision, poor eyesight, tinnitus, dizziness, IBS, constipation, urinary disorders, liver disorders, impotence, MS, Skin disorders, pain, etc.
