Improve Your Diagnostic Skills

We don’t always get enough time in class to do proper justice to Pulse taking. This is your opportunity to participate in a one day intensive workshop on one of the Pillars of Chinese Diagnosis.

This full day workshop will convince you that pulse diagnosis is no longer outdated or impossible to learn and apply. James O’Sullivan will instruct on an easy to learn, unique style of pulse diagnosis that can be incorporated into your practice of acupuncture, Tuina, shiatsu or other TCM therapies.

“I believe that pulse taking, is the only way to guarantee my diagnosis”
– James O’Sullivan

Pulse Diagnosis is one of the Pillars of Chinese Diagnosis that can aid in the diagnosis according to the Zang Fu, the eight Principals, Zang Fu and levels of disease.

What’s covered on the day:

  What is a "normal" pulse
The 3 TCM Pulses: Ren Ying– Cun Kou– Fu Yang
  How hard do I press?
Methods of taking the pulse reading
  Factors that influence pulse taking
  Clinical significance of the pulse
Notes will be included in the fee (47 slides)

This form of diagnosis is a practical and non-invasive way to detect illness and imbalance in your clients.

Upon completing this workshop, you will be able to objectively read pulses and come to diagnostic conclusions about the health of Zang Fu organs, Qi & Blood and the principal of treatment/level of manipulation needed.
